Talesin, what makes an "urban myth" "urban" ?? Is there such a thing as "rural myth?"

Angels are taking the lead in the preaching work
by mankkeli inconsider one experience in which two kingdom publishers were accompanied by a small child.
at the end of the morning, the two witnesses were about to stop their preaching work, but the child was unusually eager to go to the next home.
in fact, he went by himself and knocked on the door!

Sept. 15th WT - Burdened with Earning a Living? Here! Have MORE Burdens !
by flipper inas if the other sept. 15th wt thread i started weren't controlling enough - in another study article titled " run ..... that you may attain it " were you aware that just eating and wearing clothes on your body - might be a " stumbling block " to you ?
in a prior article on pg.
12 , paragraph 6 the wt society sets up what they are trying to get across by stating, " people of the world tend to seek personal interests first as " men of this system of things, whose share is this life.

It's my experience that many of the pencil-necked bozos who write this stuff are pretty self-sparing when it comes to meeting attendance and field service. After all, Bethel service comes first, right?

Who Wrote the Book of Revelation, and when?
by ProdigalSon inmy money is on sybil of cumae, in the 6th century bc.
not a co-incidence that pythagoras and many other enlightened ones came along at this time.
it comes in periodic waves from the center of the milky way..... despite the bible saying that fortune tellers are forbidden, michelangelo was allowed to paint this very well known fortune-teller in the sistine chapel.

The Evilness that is Lady Gaga
by LouBelle intoday i got three seperate emails stating that lady gaga has sold her soul to the devil and is using her music and videos to further satan's goals.
they then go take the various symbology and wording in her music and videos and explain what they mean/represent.
she is rather wild and out there, and yes i'll admit she does use a lot of symbolism in her music videos.

Allegiance They Never Knew
by Marvin Shilmer inallegiance they never knew.
because watchtower keeps publishing stories about jehovahs witnesses being led to believe it wrong to pledge allegiance to anything other than god, i have added to the repertoire of articles on the subject.
when i think of the horrendous suffering endured over the years over this issue, it makes me sick to know watchtowers top leadership did not clear up the misguided notion so witness children in school could stand in front of their peers and gladly pledge the oath of allegiance to the united states just like the president does.

Marvin, beautifuly presented; the starkness of the contrast is very telling.

The effect we are having on the Watchtower is HUGE
by jwfacts ini was inspired by a recent thread i know i aint gunna crumble the wt, but a girl can dream to look at the effect we as individuals are having on the watchtower society.. 3dogs1husband quoted a story to show that even helping only one person is worth it.. it is encouraging to note that the one person you may have helped has lead to millions being helped, due to the power of compounding growth.. compounding growth is well illustrated by the rice on a chessboard problem.
if you start with 1 grain of rice on square one, and double it to 2 on the second, 4 on the third, 8 on the fourth, by the last (64th) square there would be 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 grains of rice.. likewise, if you help one person out of the grip of the watchtower this year, then next year you help one more and they help one, in a few years that is going to have a formidable result on the number of jehovahs witnesses.
look at the following statistics.

"I don't recall the exact time of the change in reporting hours but I distinctly remember that in the past when studying with a baptized individual only the study conductor was able to count the time. Now however, as mentioned in the April 2011 KM Question Box, both the study conductor and the publisher who accompanies him or her on the study should report the time spent."
I remember when neither the study conductor nor anyone else was permitted to count time when studying with a baptised person.
